I'm a mixed media artist working with clay, wire, rubber, fabric, paper, and metal, often combining several materials in a single

artwork.  Inspiration comes to me in many forms and in unexpected places.  Sometimes a material speaks to me and leads to

surprising outcomes.  Other times, a concept guides me toward the right materials.  The interplay between material and idea keeps my 

creative process vibrant and engaging.

After earning my BFA cum laude from Boston University, my career in commercial art designing for visual merchandising programs, 

exhibition design, and point-of-purchase displays using a wide range of materials and techniques gave me fluency in both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional work.    

My art ranges in scale from small jewelry size sculptures, wearable art, to large interior installations for private collectors, hotels, and other public locations: a 4' x 8' wall of ceramic aspen trees is installed in the hotel lobby of the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, CA;  Four panels of ceramic aspen trees can be viewed In the Delta Sky Club lounge, Delta Air Lines terminal, Denver, CO;  the former Hyatt Grand Aspen hotel in Aspen, CO, had displayed ceramic artwork depicting aspen trees in autumn colors with quaking leaves. 

I have exhibited in many invitational and juried exhibitions across the country.  A solo show invitation which included 25 pieces of my artwork was presented at the Watershed First Street Gallery in Petaluma, CA, in  2024.  My work has been featured in numerous publications including Ceramic Arts Handbook Series: Sculpture Techniques, Ceramics Today, and Ceramics Now.

Through my work, I strive to capture the world around me, distilling its beauty and complexity into tangible form.

My passion for art continues to thrive, driving me to explore new avenues of creativity and to push the boundaries of my craft.
